DEPARTMENT OF BIBLICAL AND THEOLOGICAL STUDIES, WHEATON COLLEGE (IL) seeks candidates for the Dean of Humanities and Theological Studies who is responsible to the Provost for all administrative, budgetary, curricular, personnel, and other aspects of the academic departments and programs, which comprise the Division of Humanities and Theological Studies. The ideal candidate will have commitment and motivation to model Wheaton College’s Statement of Faith and Community Covenant, foundational understanding of evangelical theology, strong advocacy for Christian liberal arts, especially in the Humanities and Theological Studies, an earned doctorate in one of the disciplines of the division, demonstrated effectiveness as a classroom teacher and a productive scholar, good interpersonal and communications skills, and experience in managing personnel, curriculum, and budgets for both undergraduate and graduate academic programs. Secondary fields can be thematic (such as gender, economic or business, labor), regional (excluding Europe) or methodological (such as digital humanities, pedagogy). Standard teaching load is 3/3.
