Call for Submissions | How My Teaching Has Changed
The manifest disruptions of 2020 caused many of us to think more deeply about our pedagogical choices. In 1,000 words or less, please describe how and why you—at some point in your career—altered a specific lesson, syllabus, activity, or public presentation. What was gained and/or lost in the alteration? What did you learn in the process? The change need not to have occurred in 2020, and possible reasons for change include but are not limited to: new institution, new teaching modality, student feedback, curriculum revision, adapting to discoveries or trends in the field, response to current events, racial or gender balance, change in personal circumstances. Submissions from public historians as well as instructors at any level are welcome. Submissions will not be peer-reviewed but may be published as a roundtable in a future issue of Fides.
